The university council is the executive body, which runs the day-to-day affairs of the university and consists of the President, Vice President, the Deans of the Faculties the Registrar, and technical support committee.
The President is the chief Executive Officer of the University, the President is appointed by the Board of Trustees for a period of four years from the senior members of the University Management or from outside the University.
The board of trustee consists of prominent members of the community. The Board issues the overall policy directives and guidelines along which the university is steered, appoints the president of the university and reviews annual report and budget of the university.
Competition among various Freshman classes for the four slots reserved for Freshman Department at Amoud University men's football competition 2018/ 2019 begun in earnest on November 16th, 2018 at Amoud University Main Campus Football Stadium.
The draw for the qualifications for the 15 classes of the Department of Freshman Studies will proceed for the next 7 days.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed Mohamoud Jama "Derie", Vice President for Public Relations, Community Outreach and overall in charge of extra curricular acitvities; Abdisamad Egeh Habaneh, Dean, Office of Students Affairs and Counseling Services (OSACS) and Harun Ismail Warsame, Dean, Department of Freshman Studies.
Such competitions are part of Amoud University efforts intended to produce good students who are not only well knowledgeable academically but also actively participating in sports. Sports plays a significant role in a man's wholesome health, for both body and mind.
The football teams from the four classes that emerge top from the freshman competition will be the ones to represent the Department of Freshman studies at the annual football competition scheduled for March next year 2019 to be held at Hajj Dahir Stadium in Borama Town which combines all other teams from Main campus, College of Health Sciences, and the Sharia and Law campus.
Each class of the Freshman Department has at least 80 students in class population.
