Amoud University Academic Committee in the second of its weekly sittings planned for this semester March 2019/ July 2019, held on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019 discussed various issues.

Among the agenda items included were :-
1. Remarks from the chair
2. Returning of Examinations Results for September 2018/ January 2019 Final exams
3. Class Timetable preparation for March 2019/ July 2019 Semester
4. Submissions of Course Offerings
5. Continuing and completion of remaining policies (Quality Assurance Policy)
6. Supervision of ongoing classes

The meetings was chaired by Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril – Vice President, AA, AU and members present included Suleiman Hassan Ali, - Chief Registrar, AU; Abubokor Said Ali, - Dean, Faculty of Business & Public Administration, AU; Abdirahman Ahmed Muhumed, - Dean, Faculty of Education, AU; Edwin O. Okech, - Dean, Faculty of Computing & ICT, AU – Ag. Secretary; Mohamed Abdi Osman, - Dean, Faculty of Agriculture & Environment, AU; Harun Ismail Warsame, - Dean, Freshman Department, AU; Dr. Mohamed Ali Nageeye, - Dean, Faculty of Sharia & Law, AU; Bishar Elmi Yey, - Director, Quality Assurance, AU; Abdirizak Mahamud Osman, - Dean, Faculty of Economics & Political Science, AU; Eng. Abikarim Idiris Nour, - Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AU; Tawakal A. Ali - Assistant Editor, University Academic Journal Committee, AU.

Amoud University runs a two semester academic year and the second semester has therefore just commenced. The new semester March 2019/ July 2019 starts March 1st, 2019 and is scheduled to end on July 15th, 2019. The deans of faculties located at main campus normally hold meetings at the Senate Hall, Main Campus where they have been able to pass various policies and regulations which were updated for streamlining of operations and strengthening of systems at the university.

Amongst the documents which have been revised, printed and distributed include and have been approved for implementation this semester are:-

2. Teaching Policy
3. Amoud University Academic Journal
4. Academic Staff Policy
5. Research Guidelines and Policies for Undergraduate Students
