Amoud University Academic Committee Meeting was held at 9.00am Tuesday the 27th day of November, 2018 at Amoud University Senate Hall, main campus.

Among the agenda items discussed included were Mid Term Exam Report from each faculty, Curriculum Review (Description of Courses) and Approval of Exam Policy and Related Materials. In attendance were Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, VP, AA, AU - Chairman; Dr. Oso W. Yuko – Director, AA, AU; Suleiman Hassan Ali, - Chief Registrar, AU; Abokor Said Ali, - Dean, Faculty of Business & Public Administration, AU; Abdirahman Ahmed Muhumed, - Dean, Faculty of Education, AU; Edwin O. Okech, - Dean, Faculty of Computing & ICT, AU – Ag. Secretary; Mohamed Abdi Osman, - Dean, Faculty of Agriculture & Environment, AU; Harun Ismail Warsame, - Dean, Freshman Department, AU; Dr. Mohamed Ali Nageeye, - Dean, Faculty of Sharia & Law, AU; Bashar Elmi Yey, - Director, Quality Assurance, AU; Abdirizak Mahamud Osman, - Dean, Faculty of Economics & Political Science, AU; Eng. Abikarim Idiris Nour, - Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AU.

On the first agenda item, deans of faculties were requested to give a general report on the just concluded Mid Term exams and the highlights. It was clear that apart from a few minor incidences of attempted cheating and indiscipline on the part of one or two students, there was a general smooth run of all examination sessions in town campus and main campus. The chair informed all deans of a proposal from Sh. Mohamed Bile Mohamed, Director, Office of Arabic Relations and International Linkages, to meet students of various faculties on specific appointed days for orientation, spiritual nourishment, guidance and counselling.

The deans were each served with a copy of the time schedules and then directed by chair to liaise with Sh. Mohamed on the logistics necessary to facilitate successful holding of those events as lined up. The review of examination policy document was done, and minor changes were approved. However a few major
changes were also included. Rising on a point of notice, the Webmaster Amoud University main site requested all officials present during the meeting to submit a short introduction about their offices, faculties or administrative units for purposes of updating on the university website. In addition he informed all stakeholders that the website is currently under maintenance but would be up and running shortly.
