On February 5th, 2017 four researchers from the Czech Republic visited Amoud University where they were hosted by the university officials led by Prof. Ahmed. A Boqore, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The guests included:

  1. Frantisek Kovarik, who has a synoptic collection presently containing 1600 species of scorpiones, and is interested in obtaining more species through exchanges.
  2. David Kral, Ph.D (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea) Entomology Research Group, Department of Zoology, Charles University in Pargue.
  3. Daniel Frynta, Ph.D. Associate Professor, Head of Ecology and Ethology Division, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science Charles University, Czech Republic.
  4. Tomas Mazuch, Independent Researcher, Amphobians and Reptiles of the Horn of Africa.

The guests from Czech Republic inside Office of The President, Amoud University, Borama, Somaliland where they were hosted by Prof. Ahmed Abdillahi   Boqore, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Amoud University.[February 2017]

These researchers were basically interested in doing more work on amphibians and reptiles. Upon completion of the visit, the delegation had a brief meeting with the staff at The Office of The President, Amoud University, where the two teams egaged in academic discussions which entailed plans for future collaborations and external linkages between the universities in the Czech Republic and Amoud University.

Each of the team members also gave to Amoud University a few gift copies of their publications duirng the visit, in the spirit of knowledge sharing, collaboration and information exachange.

One of the guest professors from Czech Republic inside Office of The President, Amoud University, Borama, Somaliland where they donated a few copies   of work they have been doing across the world in their various areas of specialization.[February 2017]
