Admission at Amoud University
Admission Policy
Amoud University recruits, admits, and enrolls highly qualified students from around the region/world. The admission process for students is highly selective. The university recognizes that not every student is suited for the kind of educational experience offered here.
In particular, Amoud University admits students who can contribute to and benefit from the international-style living and education that the university has to offer. In short, Amoud University seeks out students who are innovators, students who will one day make a difference in their chosen careers, in their home communities, and in the world.
The University admission process is both personalized and highly competitive. The individualized application process ensures that every applicant receives thorough consideration. There is no admissions formula whose fulfillment guarantees an applicant’s acceptance to the University. Selection for admission to the University is based upon a variety of factors. Students who are to be admitted to the university programs must first fulfill the university’s admission criteria
Undergraduate Admission Criteria
- The University admits into the specific programs only those students who meet both the general and specific university’s admission criteria.
- Applicants must bring their original secondary certificates from a recognized institution.
- Applicant must hold a Somaliland General Secondary School Certificate (SGSCE) of at last grade “C” or its equivalent from a recognized examination body.
- No student can register for more than one University programme at the same time.
- Cases of impersonation, falsification of documents or giving false and/or incomplete information whenever discovered either at registration or afterwards, will lead to automatic cancellation of admission.
- An application fee of $10 is required of all applicants. This fee is non-refundable.
- Applicants should attach two passport size photographs to their application forms.
Postgraduate Admission Criteria
- Students who want to apply master’s degree programs offered by Amoud University must meet both the general and specific university’s admission criteria.
- Amoud University seeks out students who are innovators, and who will one day make a difference in their chosen careers, in their home communities, and in the world.
- Students must bring their original academic certificate and transcript with a recognized institution
- Students must bring a bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years of study.
- No student can register for more than one University programme at the same time. Breach of this regulation leads to automatic cancellation of admission to the University.
- Cases of impersonation, falsification of documents or giving false and/or incomplete information whenever discovered either at registration or afterwards, will lead to automatic cancellation of admission
- An application fee of $30 is required of all applicants. This fee is non-refundable.
- Applicants should attach two passport size photographs to their application forms.
