The 46 students are drawn from six different specialization areas namely Master of Public Health (MPH) in human nutrition, Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Planning and Management, Master of Science (MSC) in Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Monitoring and Evaluation.

The viva voce started today, Monday, January 25th, 2021 and is scheduled to continue until tomorrow Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 in Main Campus, AUSGSR, Borama City while in the Capital City Campus, AUSPGSR, Hargeisa City, the viva voce is scheduled to start on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 and continue until Friday, January 29th, 2021. The viva in Borama Campus for the year 2021 was officially opened by Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, Vice President, Academic Affairs, Amoud University.

In attendance was Prof. Mohamed Mahamoud Jama "Derie", Vice President, Public Relations and Community Outreach, Amoud University, who made a brief guest appearance at the opening ceremony. Dr. Mohamed M. Jibril was accompanied by Mukhtar Abdi Omar, Dean, AUSPGSR and Zakariye Mohamed Ahmed, Associate Dean, AUSPGSR, Borama Campus.

This is an open viva voce and all are welcome. Candidates present in turns. Each student makes a 10-minute oral presentation espousing the background of the problem, the research problem, justification of the problem, and the methodology to be used to answer the key research questions. This is followed by a 20-minute question-answer session where the panelists ask the candidate questions based on both oral and written presentations and the student responds. Each candidate must prepare 10 copies of a six slides summary of the main issues he/she shall focus on during the viva voce'.
