The ceremony was held at the new Amoud Restaurant, Main Campus, Amoud University, Borama.
The workshop was organized by Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, Vice President, Academic Affairs, and was broken down into two parts, for the first three (3) days starting Saturday, May 15th, 2021 to Monday, May 17th, 2021 focusing on Students’ Research Supervision and thereafter for the final two (2) days starting Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 and ending Thursday, May 20th, 2021, focusing on Examinations Setting.
The main objective of the workshop was to train members of the academic division including deans of faculties, associate deans, research assistants and directors of various academic central offices on essentials of supervising students in data analysis and in addition acquaint all participants with the general principles and practices of examinations setting. The seminar was intended for participants to share their experiences, knowledge and skills in supervising students' research and setting examinations. Overall, the seminar would provide an overview of the major approaches and methodologies that supervisors could adopt when guiding students in data analysis in theses and research projects development. The facilitators for the training included Dr. Oso Willis Yuko – Senior Advisor to VPAA & Secretary to Management, AU, Mukhtar Ahmed Omar - Director, Quality Assurance Office, AU and Tawakal Abdi Ali, – Head of Examinations Department, AU.
