The key item of discussion was the planned launch of PhD programme. The chairman informed members that the proposed PhD programmes would soon be launched. To attract more staff to take up the programmes the chair was requested by members that around 20% discount of the tuition fee should be considered to be granted to the staff in order to provide some financial relief to them on the fee payment, and in addition to that, payment by installments to ease the burden. The Faculty of computing and ICT also requested that at least one PhD programme course needed to be offered for the staff in the Faculty of Computing and ICT to provide them some equal opportunity with other staff.
