
On Thursday, October 26th, 2022, Abdinasir D. Egeh, Dean, Student Affairs, AU, organized Freshman Orientation day 2022 at the graduation hall, main campus, AU. A keynote address was delivered by Dr. Mohamed M. Jibril, President, AU. The students were taken through students’ code of conduct, introduced to the university structural organization, advised on self discipline; how to carry themselves and given various tips on how to achieve academic and life excellence. A total of 1453 (1585 including sharia and law and other diploma) students have so far been enrolled by freshman department, with 818 (56%) of them being male and 635 (44%) of them being female for the 2022/ 2023 academic year, a significant higher number than the enrollment in previous academic year 2021/2022. The students are drawn from 29 different world destinations including Djibouti, Kenya, Yemen, Tanzania, UAE, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom among others.
