FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT
The faculty of Agriculture and Environment is one of the faculties that are currently functioning in the university. It has been established in 2005, with 40 students aiming to produce qualified manpower and enhancement of agriculture production, research capacity in the country. The faculty currently offers three programs such as: - Agricultural Science (crop production), Animal Science and Environmental Management and also faculty has started a postgraduate programmes. Currently the faculty has 205 students and 25 teaching staff. So far the faculty has graduated students from the fields of Agricultural Science (crop production) and Environmental Management but are on course to produce the first batch of Animal Science graduates. The faculty has had numerous research activities, community service activities, consultancy services and strategic partnerships more than any other faculty in the university. These have been realized through projects implemented in conjunction with international NGOS, most recently UNDP and DF among others listed here below.
