Definition of Erasmus + KA171
The project is coordinated by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) as a Programme Country. IKU will administer all grant payments for mobility to Europe (“incoming”) and from Europe (“outgoing”).
Amoud University is responsible for collecting applications of the prospective exchange students and providing them with all necessary support including pre-departure preparation, monitoring during mobility, and formally recognizing the mobility period. The receiving institution (IKU) offers students a study programme at the university and allocates grants for the students qualified to be an exchange student at IKU.

Application Requirements
- Being a full-time student enrolled in a program of Amoud University, an undergraduate degree
- For Bachelor students; having a minimum 2.50 Grade Point Average out of 4.00
- The minimum foreign language proficiency level is B2 (Intermediate). *
- Having at least 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) or equivalent study load per semester (Students who have not fulfilled the requirements for graduation yet).
- Period of the mobility: All the study mobilities are obligated to be realized in the spring term of 2024-2025 Academic Year from 5 February 2025 to 27 June 2025.
* Students can count the results of the English exam they have taken before, or the results of the foreign language exam (TOEFL IBT, Pearson).
Erasmus Grade
Erasmus Grade is used as an instrument by IKU to evaluate and rank the applicants. Please see below how Erasmus Grade is calculated:
- Erasmus Grade = English Exam (to be converted to hundredths and %50 is taken) + GPA at home university (to be converted to hundredths and %50 is taken)
Erasmus + International Credit Mobility 2024-2025 Spring Term applications and criteria used to evaluate the following are given below:
- If the participant has any physical disabilities, a document that proves the disability (In English or in the original language with an English document from the sending university confirming the authenticity).: +10 points
Selection Criteria
The selection of students – as well as the procedure for awarding them a grant – must be fair, transparent, coherent, and documented and shall be made available to all parties involved in the selection process.
Selections are carried out by ranking the points from the highest to the lowest, taking into account the evaluation criteria and weighted scores announced by Amoud University among the students who fulfill the minimum requirements. The selection criteria should be fair, transparent and objectively applicable to all potential beneficiaries.
How to Apply?
To be accepted as an exchange student at IKU, Amoud University students are required to complete and provide us with the following documents in English:
- The online application is free of charge. For filling in the application use only the link we have provided to Amoud University.
- Transcript of Records (It must be issued in English and confirmed by the relevant person at your home University)
- National ID and/or Passport;
- Language Certificate (If you do not have an international certificate, ask your university to confirm your level of English.)
- Motivation Letter*
- Europass CV*
* A Motivation Letter and CV is not included within the scoring criteria. If there are applications with equal scores, motivation letter and CV can be taken into consideration.
Application Procedures
- Applications are made through the Istanbul Kültür University website on the dates specified in the academic calendar.
- Applicants should fill up the required information and upload the relevant documents to the system.
- Application documents must be in Turkish or English.
- Any application with missing or forged documents / information will not be evaluated.
- Each applicant is eligible to make only one application
- In order for your application to be valid, you must press the Complete Application Button. Otherwise, your application will not be considered.
- All Application should be submitted to concerned faculties/departments of Amoud University.
