Amoud University Leadership Visits University of Nairobi to Strengthen Academic Partnerships

The President of Amoud University, Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, accompanied by Ambassador Sharmarke Gelleh, paid an official visit to University of Nairobi, Kenya, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and expand international partnerships. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Patrick M. Maluki and members of the university leadership. Discussions centered on fostering collaboration in research, promoting staff and student exchange programs, developing joint academic initiatives, and enhancing institutional capacity building. Official Visit of Amoud University to Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University

The President of Amoud University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, and the delegation he led paid an official visit to Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University in Turkey. The Amoud University delegation received a warm welcome from the President of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, his deputies, and the senior management of the university. During the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on strengthening cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the fields of Islamic Sharia and Law, with a focus on accelerating joint academic programs, research collaboration, and training initiatives. This meeting marks a significant step forward in enhancing the international relations and global engagement of Amoud University.

Istanbul Kültür University Invites Amoud University students to Experience Studying at Istanbul in the Spring Semester of the Academic Year 2025-2026 Through Erasmus Grants within the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme.

Definition of Erasmus + KA171 The project is coordinated by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) as a Programme Country. IKU will administer all grant payments for mobility to Europe (“incoming”) and from Europe (“outgoing”). Amoud University is responsible for collecting applications of the prospective exchange students and providing them with all necessary support including pre-departure preparation, monitoring during mobility, and formally recognizing the mobility period. The receiving institution (IKU) offers students a study programme at the university and allocates grants for the students qualified to be an exchange student at IKU. Erasmus Grade Erasmus Grade is used as an instrument by IKU to evaluate and rank the applicants. Please see below how Erasmus Grade is calculated: Erasmus + International Credit Mobility 2025-2026 Fall Term applications and criteria used to evaluate the following are given below:  Selection Criteria The selection of students – as well as the procedure for awarding them a grant – must be fair, transparent, coherent, and documented and shall be made available to all parties involved in the selection process. Selections are carried out by ranking the points from the highest to the lowest, taking into account the evaluation criteria and weighted scores announced by Amoud University among the students who fulfill the minimum requirements. The selection criteria should be fair, transparent and objectively applicable to all potential beneficiaries. How to Apply? To be accepted as an exchange student at IKU, Amoud University students are required to complete and provide us with the following documents in English: * A Motivation Letter and CV is not included within the scoring criteria. If there are applications with equal scores, motivation letter and CV can be taken into consideration. Istanbul Kültür University Invites Amoud University Staff to Participate in Erasmus+ KA171 Teaching/Training Mobility

Academic Year: 2025-2026, Fall Term About Erasmus+ KA171The project is coordinated by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) as a Programme Country. IKU will manage all grant payments for mobility. Amoud University is responsible for collecting staff applications, providing support during mobility, and formally recognizing the teaching or training period. IKU offers teaching/training opportunities and allocates grants for qualified staff participants. Quota for Staff Exchange Grants for Staff Mobility Period: 7 days* *Staff who applied and were accepted under Erasmus+ KA171 will be supported by a grant to be calculated based on their mobility period. Amoud University Delegation Visits University of Liverpool to Strengthen Research and Educational Ties

As part of their official mission to promote research and education between the north and south, delegates from Amoud University are currently touring universities and other institutions in the United Kingdom (UK). Among them are President, Dr. Mohamed M. Jibril, Vice-Principal, College of Health Sciences, Dr. Abdirashid O. Ibrahim, and Director of the Centre for Research and Community Services, Yusuf A. Hared. They proceeded with their UK mission and are now at the University of Liverpool, UK, for an official visit and to meet their counterparts among them Prof. Matthew Baylis, IVES Executive Dean; Prof. Gavin Brown, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education;Ms. Cath McNamara, Head of Postgraduate Affairs and International Partnerships; Prof. Heather Allison, IVES Institute Director of PGR; Prof. Aras Kadioglu, Head of the Department of Clinical Infection, Microbiology, and Immunology (IVES); Ms. Christine Bateman, Head of Global Engagement and Partnerships; Prof. Paul Lunn, Dean of the School of Veterinary Science; Prof. Nicola Williams, IVES Deputy Dean. The main goal of the meeting is to strengthen existing collaboration and establish relations in the areas of research, institutional capacity development, and knowledge transfer. In addition, visiting delegation made and extensive tour of University of Liverpool resources and departments, as well as the land marks in the city. The engagements were all mutually productive and fruitful.
