Amoud University Deploys 900 Student Researchers as BAHDA-2026 Fieldwork Officially Commences in Borama

BORAMA, July 4, 2026 – The streets of Borama were filled with energy today as Amoud University officially kicked off the field data collection phase of the BORAMA AMOUD HOUSEHOLD DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT (BAHDA-2026).

At exactly 8:00 AM, a massive force of 900 senior student enumerators, accompanied by their dedicated supervisors and coordinators, gathered at the historic Khayriya Square in the heart of Borama city. This deployment marks the transition from strategic planning to active on-the-ground research, making it one of the largest academic field operations in the region’s history.

A City-Wide Research Operation

Following a final briefing at Khayriya Square, the teams were systematically deployed across the four main districts of Borama. Organized into structured units to ensure maximum coverage and data accuracy, the students began visiting selected households to conduct multi-sectoral interviews.

The atmosphere was one of professional determination, as students utilized their training to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world data collection.

Capturing Household Realities

The BAHDA-2026 survey is designed to capture a comprehensive snapshot of the socio-economic conditions of families in Borama. By the end of this exercise, the teams aim to have gathered high-quality data from 2,700 households.
