Vacancy Announcement: 3 English Language Lecturers

In today’s interconnected and globalized world, English language proficiency is not just a valuable skill but an essential tool for academic achievement, professional success, and international communication. To meet this demand, Amoud University’s English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) is expanding its team and is seeking three (3) qualified English Lecturers to join us. ABOUT ELIP In today’s interconnected and globalized world, proficiency in English is not merely a valuable skill but an essential tool for academic achievement, professional success, and effective international communication. English has become the dominant language in education and professional sectors across the Horn of Africa, including Somaliland. At Amoud University, where English serves as the primary medium of instruction, students often face challenges due to limited exposure, as they live in a largely monolingual society where Somali is the sole formal language. To address this gap, Amoud University established the English Language Improvement Program (ELIP), designed to enhance students’ capabilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, thereby preparing them for academic excellence, professional advancement, and global engagement. Beyond its academic benefits, English proficiency also creates broader opportunities in a competitive world, and ELIP’s comprehensive, needs-focused approach ensures that these advantages are accessible to the Amoud University community and the wider region.
